Parking Permits

On behalf of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), which regulates parking in the District, DC DMV issues residential parking permits (RPP). This program limits on-street parking to participating residents living on designated blocks. Parking for everyone else is limited to two hours. This does not allow you to disregard DDOT's parking regulations and restrictions.

Please note: If you have garage parking or do not need to park your vehicle on a residential zoned parking street, then you do not need to obtain residential parking permit; however, if you park on a zoned parking street, you will be subject to receive a ticket/citation.
